1. SAMPLE: A portable vacuum pump draws precise volumes of air through an absorbing solution in a special bubbling tube (impinger).
2. TEST: The absorbing solution, chemically-selective for the pollutant being tested, is then treated with LaMotte reagents.
3. RESULTS: The resulting color reaction is measured in an Octet Comparator for results in parts per million.
Portable Air Sampling Pump
LaMotte's Model BD Air Sampling Pump features durability and simplicity of use. The diaphragm vacuum pump draws the air sample through absorbing reagent in impinger at a constant rate between 0 and 2.0 liters per minute. An integral flowmeter regulates the air flow rate to control the amount of air sampled. Operates up to 48 hours on a single set of four, size "C" batteries. An optional AC adapter is available. Pump includes one general purpose impinger.
