Using the LaMotte Cyanide in Water Test Kit, the cyanide is first reacted with a chlorine donor to form cyanogen chloride, which then reacts with pyridine-barbituric acid to form a red-blue color. Levels are determined using the Octa-Slide 2 comparator.

The user-friendly COD3 Plus Colorimeter is direct reading for on-site water analyses. It features pre-programmed tests, automatic wavelength selection, menu-driven operation, and large backlit display screens. The analyst can simply select the test and put in the sample with reagent. The microprocessor, which selects the wavelength, also allows the user to load up to 25 tests for analyzing custom reagent systems. The data logger holds up to 500 time and date stamped data points which can be downloaded via a USB connection.

Multi-Range COD Reagent Systems

Measure low, medium, or high levels of Chemical Oxygen Demand using your choice of mercury (USEPA approved method) or non-mercury reagent systems. Twenty-five ready to use vials are provided in a fully protected shipping box to meet the demands of today’s serious analysts. LaMotte Company introduces the most precise way to measure critical COD levels over a variety of ranges using the SMART Spectro®, the original SMART® Colorimeter and the SMART 2® Colorimeter. Analysts can select from EPA approved mercury-based reagent systems or mercury-free systems to test 0-150 ppm, 0-1,500 ppm or 0-15,000 ppm COD. Each package contains 25 vials with Teflon®-lined caps to offer the maximum level of safety during use. High grade, optical quality, standard size (16mm) vials are protected in a premium EPS foam shipper for full compliance to global shipping requirements. The user simply adds the test sample to the reagent in the vial and heats the vial for up to 2 hours at 150°C (±2°C). Once the digestion is complete just place the tube directly into the meter and read ppm COD.

This Alkalinity Test Kit use titrations with standard acid to the phenolphthalein (P) and/or total (T) alkalinity endpoint. Range and sensitivity is 0-200 ppm/ 4 ppm as CaCO3.

In this Caustic Test Kit a sample is reacted with barium to precipitate any carbonates, then is titrated with a standard acid to the phenolphthalein endpoint. Range/sensitivity is 0-10%/0.2% NaOH.

This kit tests for pH using the Octa-Slide 2 Comparator ranging from 6.0 – 7.4 pH.

The Insta-TEST® Low Range Total Chlorine test strips are a convenient way to test water for low range levels of Total Chlorine. Range and sensitivity is 0, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 3, 10 ppm.

Size Options

This Potassium Test Kit tests for potassium using a turbidity reading tube. Range and sensitivity is 10, 20, 30, 40, 60 ppm K+.

Sodium tetraphenylboron reacts with potassium to form a white precipitate. The turbidity of the solution is proportional to potassium concentration which is measured in a calibrated tube.

This COD heater block features digital microprocessor control, programmable timer and temperature settings, and a dual LED display to monitor both temperature and timer. Perfect for COD, Total Phosphorus, and Total Nitrogen testing PLUS other tests requiring digestion.

Measures the Borate levels from 0, 15, 30, 50, 80 ppm in 15 seconds. Each bottle includes 25 test strips packaged in a waterproof PopTop bottle with a molded desiccant liner, which protects the strips from moisture and UV light. This product includes trilingual (English, Spanish, French) instructions.

This kit tests for Alkalinity using the dropper bottle method. Range/sensitivity is 1 drop = 10, 25, or 50 ppm as CaCO3.
