The Stroud Water Research Center is a scientific and educational institution dedicated to understanding, preserving and restoring streams, rivers and their watersheds throughout the world. Founded in 1967, the Stroud center is located in the White Clay Watershed of the Chester County, Pennsylvania. Interdisciplinary research teams develop and communicate new ecological ideas and methods that provide solutions for water resource problems.
The Center's educational programs seek to disseminate the findings of the research projects, serve as a resource for science teachers and students, and enhance the stewardship of watersheds.
From classroom labs to field-based investigations, LaMotte’s trusted Environmental Education tools support students and educators at every level—with the accuracy and confidence real science demands.
