This kit tests for Wide Range pH using the Octa-Slide 2 Comparator. Range and sensitivity is 5.0, 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0 pH

 

This kit tests for QAC using the Direct Reading Titrator method. Range and sensitivity is 0-1,000 ppm/20 ppm, 0-5,000 ppm/100 ppm with dilution.

A masked bromphenol blue indicator is added to the sample and turns green. Sodium tetraphenylboron is added to complex the QAC and the color changes to red. This method is best suited to higher QAC concentrations.

Octa-Slides

Each kit includes three Octa-Slide 2 color bars with eight translucent color standards in each bar. Two Chlorine color bars and one pH color bar optimize testing.

Drop Count Titrations

Hardness and Alkalinity titrations use simple drop count methods and allows either 1 drop equal to 10 ppm or 1 drop equal to 20 ppm. The Acid and Base Demand tests are also drop count procedures.

Cyanuric Test

LaMotte’s Cyanuric Acid tablet dissolves rapidly to provide a cloudy precipitate in the presence of chlorine stabilizer. A calibrated tube is used to measure results by the disappearing dot method.

 

This kit tests for Calcium Hardness in fresh or salt water. Includes inhibitors to eliminate metal interference’s. All results are as CaCO3. Range/sensitivity is 0-200 ppm/4 ppm CaCO3, 0-2,500 ppm by dilution.

 

This kit tests for Nitrate-Nitrogen using the LRC Comparator. Range/sensitivity is 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 ppm NO3-N.

 

Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA)

In 1955, Leavitt et al. discovered that Tryptic Soy Agar facilitated vigorous growth of aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms. This is an enriched media, suitable to support fastidious heterotrophs.

Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol Agar (RB)

Selective medium for the enumeration of fungi. This formula is prepared with a neutral pH and supplemented with chloramphenicol as the selective agent in fungal medium.

Application

Tryptic Soy Agar is recommended in multiple water & wastewater applications, and numerous standard methods for food testing. TSA is commonly used as a maintenance medium for culture collections and testing bacterial contaminants in cosmetics. Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol Agar is recommended in Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater for the enumeration of yeasts and molds from foods and water.
