Full-Time Openings: 

Converting Equipment Operator for 2nd Shift – Sets up and operates the complete line following various machine set-ups. Completes daily preventative maintenance and maintains cleanliness of the equipment.  Must be well organized with a good attention to detail, must be dependable; be able to work independently; understand and respect the delicacy of the products working with; follow instructions exactly; be motivated towards products and process improvement; be able to work closely with other staff members, and ability to use a computer.  Must be high school graduate or GED equivalent and able to handle a pallet jack; and transport up to 50 pounds.  2nd shift hours are Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with overtime as needed.

Cost Accountant for 1st Shift – Responsible for determining actual costs of manufacturing, setting production standards, scrutinizing facility expenses and analyzing company profitability.  Requires a minimum of bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, ability to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis, and analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves. Must be detail orientated and proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office products.

Kit Assembly/Material Handler for 1st Shift  Prepares and assembles all components and accessories used in test kits.  Must be high school graduate or GED equivalent.  Must be detail oriented and able to accurately count and read pick lists. Requires much walking and standing and be able to transport up to 50 pounds, and handle a full loaded cart up to 200 lbs.

Machine Operators for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts – Operates equipment that dispenses liquids and pouches products. Cross trains with & fills in where needed. Requires mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, good color perception, manual dexterity & ability to transport up to 50 pounds & operate loaded pallet jack.  1st Shift hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 2nd Shift hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. 3rd shift hours are 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Sunday evening through Friday morning.  Weekend overtime as needed for all three shifts.

QC Analyst Floater for 1st Shift – Will fill in QC vacancies in the production of tablets, test strips and reagents as needed. When not acting as a QC floater, this person will use their analytical chemistry knowledge & skills to troubleshoot and problem solve QC production issues, evaluate & resolve customer complaints, test incoming raw materials, maintain QC standards & pipette calibration program, and work on special projects as assigned. Requires a BS degree preferably in chemistry but will accept a B.S. in science which included chemistry courses & lab experience, excellent written and oral communication skills, good computer skills for statistical & data analysis, and excellent color perception. Must be able to transport up to 40 lbs. and wear a chemical respirator.

Quality Control Technician – Liquid Reagents/ Powder for 1st Shift – Will conduct quality control testing on all liquid reagents and powders. Provides adjustments to regent and powder prep technicians. Requires an Associate of Arts/Science degree focused in chemistry preferred, or a minimum of (3) to (5) years wet laboratory experience, excellent color matching proficiency and organization skills. Must be able to transport up to 40 pounds and wear a chemical cartridge respirator or equivalent. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with overtime as needed.

R&D Chemical Technician for 1st Shift – Prepares reagents and standards according to specified procedures in a safe manner.  Prepares test paper formulas and assembles test strips.  Assists in data generation, computer input and analysis for development projects.  Completes routine performance testing of instruments and stock test kits.  Assists in the preparation of data sheets and specifications of new and existing products.  Assists in preparation of Spin reagents and QC of various product lines. Performs interference and stability tests on new and existing products.  Requires 2 years college chemistry or equivalent experience working in analytical lab in a related field.  Must possess good laboratory skills to safely handle chemicals used in R&D laboratory; be familiar with standard laboratory equipment, e.g., analytical balance, pH meters, spectrophotometers, automatic pipettes, and volumetric flasks.  Must be able to prepare standard solution by serial dilution.  Requires proficient computer skills for data entry into spread sheets, plotting data and the ability to analyze results.  Must follow established laboratory procedures and maintain accurate laboratory notebook records.  Must have good communications skills and be able to work with other staff members, be organized and work independently.  Must be able work efficiently and complete tasks on time.   Requires good color perception and ability to pass a color test.  Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Reagent Packager for 1st Shift – Will dispense and package reagents/materials, some of which are deemed hazardous.  Must have a working knowledge of basic chemistry/science, be able to follow detailed operating and safety instructions safely, and be able to transport up to 50 pounds. 1st shift hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Shipping Packager for 1st Shift – Completes order fulfillment by picking parts for shipment. Packs all customer orders.  Takes orders to shipping packaging area for preparation and packing.  Ensuring that shipments are packaged properly for the mode of transportation and any applicable hazardous material compliance.  Weighs and processes shipments using manifest mailing equipment.  Must be able to transport packages up to 70 pounds frequently each day. Hrs. are 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

 

Spin Reagent Prep Chemical Technician for 1st & 2nd Shifts – Will prepare reagents according to specified procedures in a safe manner. Requires 2 years college chemistry or equivalent experience working in analytical lab in a related field.  Must possess good laboratory skills to safely handle chemicals used in Spin reagent prep; be familiar with standard laboratory equipment, e.g., analytical balance, pH meters, spectrophotometers, automatic pipettes, and volumetric flasks.  Must be able to prepare standard solution by serial dilution. Must be able to follow detailed reagent prep procedures. Must be able to use compressed gas cylinders and vacuum lines safely. Requires proficient computer skills for data entry into spread sheets. Must maintain accurate laboratory batch records.  Must have good communications skills and be able to work with other staff members, be organized and work independently.  Must be able work efficiently and complete tasks on time. Requires good color perception and ability to pass a color test. Must be able to transport up to 30 pounds.

Test Strip Machine Operators for 2nd & 3rd Shifts – Operates Test Strip slitter machine. Applies adhesive backing to dyed test paper sheets and slits these into long strips using the slitter machine. Must: be well organized with a good attention to detail, dependable and able to work independently; have good color perception, be mechanically inclined - able to handle working with jigs, fixtures and the slitting machine; understand and respect the delicacy of the products working with; follow instructions exactly; be motivated towards products and process improvement; and be able to work closely with other staff members; and transport up to 50 pounds.  Hrs. are 3:45 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.



Temporary Openings: 

TesTab Floater for 1st Shift – Using work orders and product instructions, handles preparation, packaging, and labeling of  stripped tablets for production. Must be dependable; be able to work independently, and be able to transport up to 25 pounds. 1st shift hrs. are 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.
