Full-Time Openings: 

Accounting Clerk I – Will maintain and update financial records, prepare weekly sales reports Prior bookkeeping experience preferred.  Must be detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks and able to work independently.  Must have good verbal and written communication skills, be able to type proficiently and use a 10-key calculator.  Computer experience preferred; hands on with Microsoft Excel a plus. 

Cost Accountant – Responsible for determining actual costs of manufacturing, setting production standards, scrutinizing facility expenses and analyzing company profitability.  Requires a minimum of bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, ability to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis, and analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves. Must be detail orientated and proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office products.

Electro – Mechanical Technician for 1st Shift – Responsible for maintaining all plant equipment. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electromechanical systems. Must have thorough knowledge of PLC and software-controlled machinery.  Requires experience and skills in areas relating to machine maintenance and modification, electrical troubleshooting, and software adjustment. While ability to code software from scratch is not required, software troubleshooting skills are a plus.  Requires good math skills, ability to read and understand equipment diagrams and instruction manuals.  Must be proficient with general computer applications and recordkeeping.  Must be able to walk, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, reach, drive and transport up to 80 pounds. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Machine Operators for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift – Operates equipment that dispenses liquids and pouches products. Cross trains with & fills in where needed. Requires mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, good color perception, manual dexterity & ability to transport up to 50 pounds & operate loaded pallet jack.  1st Shift hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 2nd Shift hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. 3rd shift hours are 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Sunday evening through Friday morning.  Weekend overtime as needed for all three shifts.

Machine Operator Floaters for 3rd Shift – Primarily operates slitting equipment and converting equipment in the test strip department but will operate any equipment or float to other production roles as needed. Must be dependable; be able to work independently; understand and respect the delicacy of the products working with; follow instructions exactly; be motivated towards products and process improvement; be able to work closely with other staff members.  Must have the ability to follow detailed operating and safety instructions accurately.  Requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to use a computer.  Must be able to handle a pallet jack; and be able to transport up to 50 pounds.  Hours are 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with weekend overtime as needed.  The regular work week begins Sunday at 11:00 p.m. and ends Friday at 7:00 a.m.

Payroll Specialist for 1st Shift – Processes bi-weekly payroll via ADP’s Workforce Now for 250 employees, 3 shifts or which the two largest departments work 24/7.  Must have a minimum of AA degree or preferably a BS degree in human resources, business administration, accounting or finance or a minimum of 2 years experience in payroll administration. Requires strong accounting and math, interpersonal, time management, good judgement/decision making, administrative and organizational skills.  Must be proficient computer skills using Word, Excel, database management, ethical, trustworthy, professional, able to maintain confidentiality, and a team player.  This is an 8 hour, Monday through Friday position.

Quality Manager for 1st Shift – Leads all aspects of the company Quality function, including Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Requires a minimum of B.S. or equivalent experience in chemistry or related field and at least 3 years of experience leading a quality function in a fast-paced, lean environment – black belt certification preferred. Must: have excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and be an effective trainer/teacher of both technical and interpersonal/team concepts; self-motivated action-orientation, an ability to multitask, and excellent problem-solving skills; demonstrate the ability to use statistical techniques to solve problems; excellent computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software.  Working knowledge of NSF and ISO quality standards and CMQ/OE certification is preferred.  This is an 8 hour, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

R&D Chemical Technician for 1st Shift – Prepares reagents and standards according to specified procedures in a safe manner.  Prepares test paper formulas and assembles test strips.  Assists in data generation, computer input and analysis for development projects.  Completes routine performance testing of instruments and stock test kits.  Assists in the preparation of data sheets and specifications of new and existing products.  Assists in preparation of Spin reagents and QC of various product lines. Performs interference and stability tests on new and existing products.  Requires 2 years college chemistry or equivalent experience working in analytical lab in a related field.  Must possess good laboratory skills to safely handle chemicals used in R&D laboratory; be familiar with standard laboratory equipment, e.g., analytical balance, pH meters, spectrophotometers, automatic pipettes, and volumetric flasks.  Must be able to prepare standard solution by serial dilution.  Requires proficient computer skills for data entry into spread sheets, plotting data and the ability to analyze results.  Must follow established laboratory procedures and maintain accurate laboratory notebook records.  Must have good communications skills and be able to work with other staff members, be organized and work independently.  Must be able work efficiently and complete tasks on time.   Requires good color perception and ability to pass a color test.  Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

TesTab Production Technician for 1st Shift – Prepares and process raw materials for use, using Pick Lists and Manufacturing Instructions.  Manufactures tablet bulk powders in accordance with Manufacturing Instructions and samples powder and/or pre-mixes for QC testing.  Handles the set-up, operation, clean-up, preventative maintenance and adjusts equipment as required.  Maintains accurate inventory of raw materials and accounts for all raw materials lost during processing or transferred from other locations.  Packages and labels bottles tablets during downtime and completes all paperwork in a timely fashion.  Requires a high school graduate or GED equivalent, ability to operate computer-interface equipment and follows detailed instructions accurately.  Must be able to wear a chemical cartridge respirator when working with chemicals that require it.  Requires mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and able to transport up to 50 pounds. Hrs. are 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Test Strip Machine Operator for 2nd Shift – Operates Test Strip slitter machine. Applies adhesive backing to dyed test paper sheets and slits these into long strips using the slitter machine. Must: be well organized with a good attention to detail, dependable and able to work independently; have good color perception, be mechanically inclined - able to handle working with jigs, fixtures and the slitting machine; understand and respect the delicacy of the products working with; follow instructions exactly; be motivated towards products and process improvement; and be able to work closely with other staff members; and transport up to 50 pounds.  Hrs. are 3:45 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Supplier Quality Engineer – Reviews and assesses manufacturing processes, labor times, materials, and cost of key external supply partners.  Visits supplier sites to identify areas for improvement.  Identifies quality issues and defects.  In cooperation with supply partners, develops and implements root cause corrective actions.  Develops and implements supplier scorecard process for key external supply partners.  Assists with documentation control packages.  Performs analysis on current and future business strategy.  Assists with the logistics in Supply Chain.  Supports new product launches.  Requires bachelor’s degree, preferred in Engineering, Science or Business; prior supplier quality management experience; advanced knowledge of manufacturing and production process; excellent communication and liaison skills.  Multilingual candidates preferred; preferrable languages are Spanish and Mandarin.  Must possess a passport and be willing to travel internationally.  Total domestic and international travel approximately 60% of the time. Frequent visits expected to:  El Paso, Texas; Juarez, Mexico; Asia (various locations) and various other domestic locations. This position can be based remotely.  However, approximately 30% of the time would be dedicated to onsite work in Chestertown, Maryland.
